The SGS Carbon Neutrality Label tells your customers and stakeholders that you're reducing the impact of your products and services on climate change.

To be considered carbon neutral, an organisation must have its emissions baseline validated and its emissions inventory verified. In doing so, your business can make quicker decisions and take stronger actions to reduce emissions. The SGS carbon label is a quantitative benchmark for companies to illustrate the reduced global warming impact of their products and services. The label is clear, concise, and indicates the level of neutrality that has been achieved by an organisation. Five small ticks indicate 100% neutrality, whereas one tick demonstrates a minimum of 20% of emissions neutralised. To achieve carbon neutrality, you can use internationally recognized credits from the Kyoto Mechanisms (CDM or JI) the Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard (GS) or government recognised credits in your jurisdiction. In every market, in every product supply chain, carbon neutrality matters.

Inventory & Audit Standards Used

  • The Greenhouse Gas Protocol of the WBCSD/WRI.
  • ISO 14064:2006 Standard which has three parts:
  • ISO 14064-1: quantification of emissions at organisational level.
  • ISO 14064-2: quantification of emissions at project level.
  • ISO 14064-3: validation and verification of GHG assertions.

Your customers and stakeholders are becoming increasingly aware of issues impacting climate change and the effect it has on their lives.
Demonstrate your commitment to low carbon emissions in the day-to-day operations of your facilities by implementing the SGS Carbon Neutrality Label.
