In Brazil the Climate Change Programme was established in 2005 and has a team of Senior Lead and Local Assessors with diverse experience in small to large scale projects including renewable energy (ranging from biomass to hydro and wind farms), fuel switch, waste handling and disposal, reforestation and chemical industries.

SGS Brazil can offer GHG validation and verification services in accordance with ISO 14064 protocol standards to certify the carbon footprint of your business. The SGS Carbon Neutrality Label offers you the chance to benchmark the level of neutrality of your business from the moment your business commits to become carbon neutral, step by step, from 20 to 100 percent neutrality.

SGS Brazil can also offer validation, verification and certification against internationally recognized carbon credit systems such as the Kyoto Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS), Gold Standard (GS) and the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX) which can help your business to achieve carbon neutrality.

We have carried out more than 70 CDM validations, 50 CDM verifications and various verifications for forestry for CCX and the voluntary carbon market.
