DETERMINATION OF EMISSIONS REDUCTIONS (VERIFICATION)
1.1 Preliminary Verification (optional step to prepare for subsequent Verification)
- Submission of Project Documentation
- Desk Study of Documentation
- Strategic Review and Risk Assessment (Document review and site visit(s)).
- Identification of the parameters that are used to quantify the emission reductions.
- Identification of the likelihood of errors and omissions arising during data collection and determine the significance of such errors.
- Check the correct installation of the recording and metering equipment;
- Review of the implementation of the quality control system.
Findings will be reported as New Information Requests (NIRs) and Corrective Action Requests (CARs). This will provide you with an opportunity to come into compliance, at an early stage, by submitting the appropriate evidence or by taking corrective action.

1.2 Periodic Verification
- In accordance with the JI guidelines, SGS shall make the Monitoring Report for the relevant period (as prepared by the project participants) publicly available on the UNFCCC web site.

- Technical Review
- Verification Report
Assuming successful Verification, SGS will issue the Verification Report containing a Verification Opinion certifying the number of emissions that have been avoided during the relevant monitoring period.
